Soft Magnetic Performance Testing

Soft magnetic materials refer to when the magnetization occurs at Hc not greater than 1000 A/m, such materials are called soft magnets. Typical soft magnetic materials can achieve maximum magnetization with minimum external magnetic field. Soft magnetic material is a magnetic material with low coercive force and high magnetic permeability. Soft magnetic materials are easy to magnetize and demagnetize. The most widely used soft magnetic materials are iron-silicon alloys (silicon steel sheets) and various soft ferrites.

Sample Requirements

Ring sample: the ratio of outer diameter to inner diameter is between 1.1 ~ 1.25, and the height is 5 mm; (recommendation: outer diameter is 40 mm, inner diameter is 32 mm, height is 5 mm)
Rod sample: the length is not less than 100 mm and the length should be more than 10 times the diameter
Strip sample: length is 200 - 300 mm, width is 10 - 30 mm
