Description

The SpongeCol® from Advanced BioMatrix is made from highly purified Type I collagen sponge, with an interpenetrating, columnar porous architecture structure. The unique columnar porous network allows cells and nutrients to flow completely through interpenetrating pores and provides a larger surface area for cell attachment, growth and migration. The collagen is lightly cross-linked, which can improve the mechanical strength and durability of short-term and long-term tissue culture, yet is still biodegradable in the long term. The diameter of the pores ranges from 100 to 400 microns, and the average diameter is about 200 microns.

5135-25EA has a diameter of 4 mm and a thickness of 1.5 mm, which can be placed in a 96-well culture plate. Each package contains 25 collagen sponge discs.
The 5135-5EA has a diameter of 21 mm and a thickness of 1.5 mm. It can fit into a 12-well culture plate or sanitary luer connector for flow perfusion. Each package contains 5 collagen sponge discs.
