The bond between streptavidin and biotin is the strongest non-covalent bond in nature and is widely used in biochemical research. Our Streptavidin PhyTip columns are packed with immobilized streptavidin affinity ligand media for automated affinity purification of recombinant biotin-tagged proteins. Our columns feature a validated automated protocol for biotinylated protein purification that can be transferred to any automated liquid handling system.

An interesting application of Streptavidin PhyTip columns is biotinylated protein assay-immunoprecipitation, where these columns are used for the immobilization of biotin-tagged proteins to generate custom affinity columns.
