The NanoDrop ND-1000 is a full-spectrum spectrophotometer that can measure 1 ul samples with high accuracy and repeatability. The system uses path lengths of 1mm and 0.2mm per measurement cycle to provide a wide dynamic range. The ND-1000 can measure high-concentration samples without dilution, which many standard colorimetric tube spectrophotometers cannot measure, and can measure up to 50 times concentrated solutions. Surface tension technology keeps samples in place, requires no sample containment, and allows for quick cleanup. Applications include measurement: concentration and purity of nucleic acid samples up to 3700 nh/ul without dilution; study of fluorescent dye labeling density of nucleic acid microarray samples up to 100 mg/ml for purified protein analysis; fluorescent dye labeling of proteins, conjugates and metals Extended spectroscopy measurement and quantification of proteins; protein Bradford assay; protein BCA assay; protein Lowry assay; cell density measurement; and general UV-Vis spectrophotometry.
