Description

The manufacturer of the UV-1601 Spectrophotometer is Shimadzu.
Refurbished Shimadzu UV 1601 Spectrophotometer (cat no 206-67001-92). Optional: Shimadzu CPS – 240A Cell Positioner (p/n 204-05837-92) with CPS controller (p/n 204-05837-92). The blazed holographic grating with self-aligning, energy-optimizing deuterium and tungsten-halogen lamps enhances precision across the UV-Vis spectrum and into the NIR from 190 to 1100nm. Spectral data is obtained at constant bandpass with resolution of less than 2nm. Superb attention to detail in the design of this instrument gives you all these features while maintaining an ultra-narrow beam of only 1 mm, allowing you to examine your smallest samples with confidence.
The Shimadzu UV-1601 UV-Vis spectrometer is used for transmission spectroscopy in the range from 190 nm to 1100 nm. There are two lamps used: a tungsten lamp that covers the region from 350 nm to 1100 nm, and a deuterium lamp that covers the region from 190 nm to 350 nm. The instrument can be used in a scanning spectrum mode, a kinetics mode, and a quantitative analysis mode. Data acquisition and processing is controlled through the Shimadzu UV-Probe software.
