UV Fused Silica Aspherical Lenses feature a high numerical aperture (NA) of 0.65 for optimal light gathering and focusing performance, making them ideal for high-efficiency lighting applications or for collimating broad spectrum light sources, LEDs or similar sources. UV fused silica also provides high transmittance in the ultraviolet band and a low thermal expansion coefficient, so it is very suitable for ultraviolet to near-infrared applications.

The surface of an aspherical lens is optimized to use a more complex outer surface, and the curvature gradually changes from the center of the lens to the outside of the lens edge to reduce spherical aberration.
