Whirl-Pak® Sponge Probe Bag, model B01475WA(Nasco) is manufactured by Aristotle Corporation. This product is designed for surface sampling and works in hard to reach areas. The sponge is attached to the bracket fixed on the handle (both made of polypropylene). The probe was sterilized with ethylene oxide gas in 24 ounces. When using, add buffer in the bag, squeeze out the surplus, wipe the surface, re insert the sponge into the bag, hold it from the outside, twist the handle and discard it. The sponge is then placed in a bag, closed, and sent to the laboratory for testing.
