Discovery Xenon Flash DLF 200 uses a High Speed Xenon-pulse Delivery source(HSXD). Compared with lasers, its cost and maintenance cost are much lower, and the results are the same. The reflective optical configuration we designed can effectively use the power of the xenon flash lamp and transfer it to the sample inside the environmental module with the help of a proprietary waveguide. The DXF 200 produces shorter pulse widths than many commercial laser systems (400 µs to 600 µs), while directly focusing enough power from the flash source directly on the entire sample surface. Due to this optimized optical arrangement and wide spectrum, it is possible to illuminate a sample with a diameter of 25 mm with sufficient energy for high-precision measurements. The use of large samples can reduce errors related to non-uniformity and allow representative measurements of poorly dispersed composite materials.
