The Abbott CELL-DYN 3700 system is a multiparameter, automated hematology analyzer developed for in vitro diagnostic use in clinical laboratories. Designed with the analyzer as the central unit, the CELL-DYN 3700 analyzer aspirates and dilutes whole blood specimens, transports and analyzes prepared diluents, flushes fluid components, and prepares for the next specimen. The hematology analyzer performs hematology measurements on edta-anticoagulated whole blood, including WBC, NEU, LYM, MONO, EOS, BASO, RBC, and HGB.

Depending on the lab's requirements, users can choose between two versions: CELL-DYN 3700SL and CELL-DYN 3700CS. The CELL-DYN 3700SL analyzer is equipped with an automatic sampling loading module that provides continuous closed sampling with up to 100 samples at a time.

On the other hand, the CELL-DYN 3700CS system has an integrated manual closed sampling module called the closed sampler. This function draws blood from a closed collection tube that has been inserted into the closed sampler module.

The operation of the CELL-DYN 3700 Hematology Analyzer is controlled by a high-speed microprocessor that monitors system status, executes various analytical procedures used by the instrument, performs diagnostic tests, and stores result data.
