Dynamic Mechanical Analysis

Dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA) is a technique, in which the sample is exposed to a programmed temperature, and subjected to a single-frequency or multi-frequency oscillatory force to determine the storage modulus (or elastic modulus), loss modulus (or viscous modulus) and damping factor as a function of temperature, time and force. DMA is widely used to measure the dynamic mechanical properties of materials at different frequencies, different temperatures and different loads. In addition, it is particularly suitable for studying the viscoelastic behavior of various polymers (such as plastics and rubber, etc.).
