GE AKTA Explorer (Amersham Pharmacia) Certified FPLC System, 100 ml/min, model 100, is manufactured by GE AKTA. The GE AKTA Explorer chromatography systems, formally from Amersham Pharmacia Biotech, offer fast and reliable solutions for developing and optimizing any bio-molecular purification scheme. Chromatographic techniques at flow rates and pressures compatible with modern separation media are used to produce high-caliber solutions.
AKTA Explorer systems use one working platform for all techniques and sample loads from µg to g scale. Systems can be configured for use at flow rates of up to 100 ml/min (pressure 10 MPa) or 10 ml/min (pressure 25 MPa). Fine-tuning system settings ensure optimum running conditions for all modern high performance media. Pre-programmed method templates and optimized system configurations minimize preparation time by allowing rapid media screening, method scouting and optimization as well as scale up experiments. Dedicated method templates are supplied for the most common scouting procedures including automatic media screening and automatic eluent pH scouting for ion exchange chromatography.
UNICORN®, a control platform, handles all AKTA systems including the AKTA Explorer. The platform controls production systems at a kg scale. The UNICORN® platform ensures quick and simple communications as well as optimized methods for production scale processes.
