Using standard oil immersion and glass coverslips, the CFI Apochromat TIRF series objectives have the highest NA. Thanks to the incredibly high NA, when they are used in TIRF, they can provide the shallowest evanescent field that an oil-immersed lens can provide. Apo TIRF objectives provide chromaticity correction from 435nm to an incredible 1064nm. In addition, they have excellent infrared flux, which helps to image and capture a single molecule on the same focal plane, and makes an excellent choice for multi-photon applications. The 60x and 100x Apo TIRF oil lenses contain the world's first temperature change correction ring. Users can easily correct temperature-induced changes-from 23°C (room temperature) to 37°C (physiological temperature)-the refractive index of the immersion oil that can cause spherical aberration.
