The T7 RNA Polymerase, 2000U manufactured by Seafrom is suitable for in vitro transcription of RNA using the T7 promoter, supporting applications such as RNA labeling and gene expression studies.
T7 RNA polymerase is a DNA-dependent RNA polymerase that specifically recognizes the T7 promoter sequence (5'-TAATACGACTCACTATAGGGAGA-3'). It can catalyze the incorporation of ribonucleotide triphosphates (NTPs) into a single-stranded or double-stranded DNA template downstream of the T7 promoter, thereby synthesizing RNA complementary to the DNA template downstream of the T7 promoter. Linear plasmids containing the T7 promoter or PCR products with the T7 promoter can be used as templates for in vitro RNA synthesis.
