The SVC100H-115 Savant Speed vacuum concentrator was developed for immobilizing microtubule biological solutions. The rotor holds the tubing and vial at a fixed angle to force the solute to the bottom and maximize the surface area exposed to evaporation. When dealing with hazardous materials or hazardous materials in the micrometer, nanogram or smaller range, the rotor applies centrifugal force (up to 17,000 rpm) to concentrate all the sample at the bottom of the tube, ensuring nearly 100% sample recovery. Sample material does not settle on the sides of the tube, so minimal diluent is required to recover the sample.
