The HORIBA ABX Pentra XL 80 is a leading hematology analyzer with 26 parameters and 5-part DIFF, in addition to unique new features, the Pentra XL 80 incorporates all the key features of the Pentra 80, including fully automatic 80 samples per hour throughput to provide CBC+DIFF white blood cell counts.

The new custom dilution ratio (CDR) of the Pentra XL 80 hematology analyzer enables automatic linear scaling, completely eliminating the need for manual dilution of out-of-range samples. CDR can select three different ratios (1/2, 1/3, 1/5) to handle out-of-range samples without operator intervention

To meet laboratory requirements, the ABX Pentra XL 80 analyzer also incorporates an advanced fully integrated data management system that enables on-board results verification. The integrated verification station automatically provides positive and negative delta check marks and performs patient reporting using selective results mixed from runs, reruns and manual entry.

This HORIBA analyzer is also ideal for micro-sampling as the technology behind the Pentra XL 80 is based on the patented dual sampling needle and MDSS technology. Additionally, since barcodes for both rack and sample are read, the ABX Pentra XL 80 guarantees accurate sample identification and end-to-end rotation of the tube prior to sampling.
