Description

The manufacturer of Alltech 3300 ELSD ELSD Controller is Grace. Model is Alltech ELSD 3300. Some of its possible application areas include carbohydrates, pharmaceuticals, lipids, triglycerides, under-adequate fats and amino acids, polymers, surfactants, nutraceuticals and combinatorial libraries. Evaporative light scattering detection eliminates common problems associated with other HPLC detectors. Refractive index (RI) detectors are complicated by pre-solvent interference, baseline instability, and gradient incompatibility. The response sensitivity of RI detectors may also be lower than that of ELSD. Low wavelength UV can suffer from baseline drift and steep gradients, and also requires the analyte to contain a chromophore. ELSD does not have these restrictions. It enables stable baselines with multi-solvent gradients for improved resolution and faster separations. Furthermore, since the ELSD response does not depend on the optical properties of the sample, the sample does not require a chromophore or fluorophore for detection.
