WATCHMAN Left Atrial Appendage Closure Device is an effective alternative to long-term OAC treatment, which can reduce the risk of bleeding caused by long-term oral anticoagulants use and reduce the risk of stroke in patients with atrial fibrillation (AF). The WATCHMAN ™ Left Atrial Appendage Closure Device is permanently implanted at or slightly distal to the opening of LAA, that is the source of more than 90% of stroke-induced blood clots in nonvalvular AF patients.
