Compress® Device is used in conjunction with Orthopedic Salvage System or Comprehensive® Segmental Revision System for the replacement of the distal and / or proximal and / or humerus of the femur in the event of severe bone loss. The Compress® Device embodies the principle of Wolff's Law-the principle is that when the bone is under pressure, it will become stronger via dynamic bone compression. This provides a stable bone-implant interface for bioimmobilization and helps to avoid stress shielding.
