Transmembrane activator and calcium-regulated cyclin ligand interaction (TACI), also known as tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 13B (TNFRSF13B) and Differentiation Cluster 267 (CD267), is a highly expressed one-way type III membrane receptor. It is highly expressed on the surface of mature congenital B cells (such as marginal regions and B-1 B cells in mice) and human memory B cells (1-3). Mutations and abnormal regulation of TACI/TNFRSF13B/CD267 have been associated with cancer, autoimmune and immunodeficiency diseases.
