SAX is a strong anion exchange column with quaternary ammonium as its functional group. It carries a positive charge under almost any conditions, making it highly suitable for adsorbing weak anions such as carboxylic acids.
The carbon chain on the quaternary ammonium group is short, resulting in weaker non-polar interactions of the adsorbent.
Cat Number: STEM-C-2312-ZJF
Application: Commonly used to remove strong anions (organic acids, nucleic acids, nucleotides, sulfonate, inorganic ions, etc.) from samples, as well as for desalting biomacromolecules.
