Description

The manufacturer of Beckman Coulter Type 75Ti Rotor is Beckman Coulter. Model is Type 75Ti. The Model 70Ti, rated at 70,000 rpm, is a fixed-angle rotor design for centrifuging up to 8 tubes with a 23-degree rotational axis. Used in Beckman Coulter grade H, R and S preparative ultracentrifuges, the rotor develops centrifugal force sufficient for applications including pelleting of small particles, and purification of viruses and subcellular organelles using sucrose gradients. Samples and gradients up to 312 mL can be run by centrifugation.

Features

1. The material of the rotor is titanium, and the surface is coated with black polyurethane paint.
2. The aluminum cover and handle are anodized and are corrosion resistant.
3. The handle is interchangeable with the 70.1 Ti rotor handle, but nothing else.
4. During centrifugation, if properly lubricated, an o-ring made of nitrile rubber maintains atmospheric pressure inside the rotor in the lid and handle.
5. The cover is a patented design that sits on the rotor body, allowing centrifugal force to help seal.
6. Four small holes in the lid provide a temporary vent to prevent pressure build-up and pinching of the large lid o-ring in the event of a leak. Due to the heavy rotor weight, no drive pins are required in the rotor drive hub cavity.
