The Beckman Coulter Z1 Dual Battery Particle Counter offers simple and straightforward operation for user convenience. The device has a dedicated start button that counts in seconds and produces accurate results. Direct messages are also displayed on the LCD screen to guide the user through configuration settings and analysis functions. Instrument calibration requires only a few steps to automatically calculate and schedule optimal instrument settings.

The Z1 is equipped with distinct features that increase productivity, including the ability to eliminate calibration drift. This common calibration problem with other instruments is caused by changes in electrolyte conductivity and temperature. These particle counters produce highly accurate pressure measurements without the use of conventional mercury manometers. Instead, a unique oil displacement pump is used for effective results.

The Beckman Z1 counter counts cells and particles in three regions that are at or above the operator-selected lower size, above the upper size setting, and between these two sizes. This counter is great for determining the number of cells in a selected size range.
