The Block Heater (Without Block) from Merck KGaA is a multifunctional unit with compact construction, suitable for incubation and activation of cultures, enzyme reactions, immunoassays, melting/boiling points and a wide variety of other laboratory procedures. It accepts separate interchangeable modular heating blocks that can hold various sample housings, such as microtubes, centrifuge tubes, vials, microplates, and PCR strips or test tubes. Each heating block has a thermometer hole for measuring the temperature. Heats from ambient to 150°C with two temperature adjustments, low range ambient to 100°C/high range from 75°C to 150°C.
