Description

BODTrakⅡ Biochemical Oxygen Demand Analyzer, 0-35,0-70,0-350,0-700 mg/L, model BODTrakⅡ is manufactured by Hach. Biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) refers to the amount of oxygen consumed when organic matter in water is biochemically degraded by microorganisms, and is a comprehensive indicator reflecting the content of organic pollutants in water. BODTrak® II Biochemical Oxygen Demand Analyzer uses the differential pressure measurement principle to simulate the biodegradation process of organic matter in nature. The oxygen in the air above the test bottle continuously replenishes the dissolved oxygen consumed in the water, and the CO2 produced during the degradation of organic matter is absorbed by the potassium hydroxide in the sealing cap. The pressure sensor monitors the variation of the oxygen pressure in the sampling test bottle at any time. Establishes a correlation between the Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD), which corresponds to the amount of oxygen consumed in the test bottle, and the gas pressure, allowing accurate BOD measurement. The test results are displayed graphically on the screen, and the BOD value will be directly displayed on the instrument screen in mg/L.
