Description

Chelating Chromstar® FF is a metal chelate affinity chromatography resin created by covalently cross-linking iminodiacetic acid (IDA) to the Chromstar® matrix via a spacer arm. IDA provides three ligand sites for chelation with transition metal ions such as Cu2+, Zn2+, Co2+, and Ni2+. This resin exploits the interactions between transition metal ions and amino acids like histidine, cysteine, and tryptophan, which are commonly found in proteins, to separate and purify proteins based on their amino acid content.
