Endometriosis (Ems) refers to the location of endometrial glands and stromal tissue outside the normal endometrial position, affecting 6% to 10% of women of childbearing age. Ectopic endometrial tissue is mainly found on the peritoneal surface, ovary, and rectovaginal septum. Ems outside the pelvis are rare, and the abdominal wall is the most common site of Ems outside the pelvis.
