Eppendorf® CryoCube® Freezers feature energy efficiency, reliability, and worry-free, long-term sample preservation. Polyurethane insulation combined with a highly efficient cooling system achieve and maintain ultra-low temperatures of -86 °C. The full stainless steel interior enables easy cleaning during maintenance and defrost cycles. The easy-to-handle magnetic closures on inner doors help easy accessing to samples.

The ratio of the number of storage boxes to energy consumption is higher for chest freezers than upright models. When the chest freezer is opened, the cold air is kept inside. Additional insulated panels cover the inner chamber and increase energy saving.
