Description

G-Trap™ DEAE Agarose Fast Flow is a ready-to-use prepacked column for the separation of proteins and other charge-based biomolecules. The resin in G-Trap™ DEAE Agarose Fast Flow is a weak anion exchanger consisting of highly cross-linked 6% agarose beads plus diethylaminoethyl (DEAE) weak anion exchange groups. Proteins with a net negative charge will bind to the resin, while proteins with a net positive charge will not bind and will flow out.

There are other G-Trap™ Ion Exchange Agarose Fast Flow columns available in 1 mL and 5 mL column volumes namely G-Trap™ CM Agarose Fast Flow, G-Trap™ SP Agarose Fast Flow, G-Trap™ Q Agar Sugar rush. G-Trap™ CM Sepharose Express and G-Trap™ SP Sepharose Express contain cation exchange resin and G-Trap™ Q Sepharose Express contain anion exchange resin. G-Trap™ Ion Exchange Selection Kitis can be used for initial screening of suitable ion exchangers for purification of target proteins.

G-Trap™ Ion Exchange Agarose Fast Flow Columns can separate biomolecules on the basis of charge using prepacked columns. G-Trap™ Ion Exchange Agarose Fast Flow Columns are used for method detection, separation or purification of biomolecules, sample concentration and sample cleanup of charged molecules. Biomolecules carrying a net charge opposite to the ion exchanger bind to the ion exchanger and are thus separated from the bulk molecules in the sample.
