Introduction

Clinically, the partial or complete clouding of the lens that exists after birth or gradually forms after birth is called congenital cataract. It is the main cause of blindness and amblyopia in children, and congenital cataract is a disease that reduces its own transparency due to abnormal metabolism of the lens in the embryonic stage. Many factors can lead to the occurrence of fetal congenital cataract, and the genetic loci and etiological mechanisms of this cataract are diverse.

Procedure

Method by Temporarily Blocking Uterine Arterial Blood Supply in Pregnant Wistar Rats:
1. Pregnant rats were placed in a supine position with limbs fixed, and the skin was incised along the midline of the abdomen.
2. Separate the subcutaneous tissue and muscle, incise the peritoneum, gently open the intestinal tube, explore and expose the bilateral uterine arteries.
3. Clamp the bilateral uterine arteries with a hemostat, and restore the blood flow after 10 to 20 minutes according to the experiment.
4. Suture the peritoneum
5. Raise the female mice in separate cages after they wake up. The pups were fed by the mother or surrogate after birth.
