The Horizontal Stirred Reactors can be fixed vertically for loading and then safely tilted horizontally for stirring. These reactors can even be designed to tilt up and down for discharge. The capacity of the horizontal reactors can be designed from 0.1 to 10 liters. Larger systems can be controlled pneumatically to tilt the system vertically to open the bottom drain valve. These horizontal rectifiers can reach temperatures up to 350°C and a maximum pressure of 1900 psig.
