The ITT Jabsco Pulse Dampeners manufactured by Cole-Parmer are able to produce pulse-free flow. The damper works by pre-filling the chamber with compressed air or other gas, and then as the fluid pressure increases, it compresses the air/gas in the chamber. When the air/gas pressure exceeds the fluid pressure, the fluid is forced to be drawn from the damper between two pulse cycles, resulting in a nearly pulse-free flow.
