The Leica RM2235 Rotary Microtome is ideal for those who expect precise sectioning and appreciate the feel and extra measure of control of manual sectioning. Mechanical dressing feature, conveniently placed next to the coarse feed wheel, eliminates the need to turn the coarse feed wheel when dressing.

The Leica patented adjustable handwheel balancing system protects the specimen since the subject's head does not fall into the knife when sectioning is stopped. The handwheel of the Leica RM2235 runs exceptionally smoothly because it has no counterweight. Instead, the patented force balance system uses springs to compensate for the forces generated during cutting, resulting in easy operation, even rotation of the handwheel, and better cutting results.

Additional features of the Leica RM2235 microscope system include: one-piece protective housing, large 70 mm vertical travel for super mega cassette sectioning that supports safer specimen changes due to greater distance to the knife edge, and optional 8° X/Y Precision positioning system and calibration control.
