Meniscus Lenses, D=50.00mm, F=100.00mm, IR2 Ge Single Crystal, United Optical Technology Co., Ltd (CAT#: STEM-OP-2007-YJL)

Highlights

Germanium is an optical glass material commonly used in the infrared band. The transmission band is 2.0-16μm. It has the characteristics of high refractive index and high Knoop hardness. Germanium is inert to air, water, acid, alkali, etc., and can be used for thermal imaging and infrared imaging in harsh environments. It can be used as a substrate for a variety of optical components, such as lenses, windows, etc.

Cat Number: STEM-OP-2007-YJL

Application: Used to reduce spherical aberration to a large extent, and can obtain a smaller focus and less aberration than plano-convex lenses

Model: 150061

Description

Meniscus Lenses, D=50.00mm, F=100.00mm, IR2 Ge Single Crystal, model 150061, is manufactured by United Optical Technology Co., Ltd.
Germanium (Ge) Meniscus Lenses are meniscus lenses based on germanium.
A meniscus lens has an outer convex mirror surface and an inner concave mirror surface. If the convex curvature is greater than the concave curvature, the lens has a positive focal length. When used in combination with another lens, a positive meniscus lens can shorten the focal length, thereby increasing the numerical aperture of the system without introducing significant spherical aberration. (NA); if the curvature on the concave side is large and the curvature on the convex side is small, it is a negative meniscus lens.
Note: Germanium material contains harmful substances, please wear gloves when using it and wash your hands after use.
