1) Piece Counting - This application mode calculates the quantity of a single weight item and can be used for inventory control, parts packing, acceptance, distribution and ticket counting. Scout SE portable balances are available in two piece counting options, Standard Piece Counting and Enhanced Piece Counting. In standard piece counting, the balance determines the unit weight of the sample based on the number of reference samples, and calculates the number of sample pieces based on this. In enhanced piece counting, the balance automatically calculates the sample weight based on the current total amount and the total number of samples if the added sample quantity is smaller than the previous sample quantity.
2) Density weighing - the user can calculate the density of the sample by purchasing the density weighing component. In this mode, the weight of the sample in air is obtained by first suspending the sample on the density weighing assembly, and then the weight of the sample in water is obtained by immersing the sample in water, and then the balance will display the density value of the sample.
