Indium oxide (In2O3) is an n-type semiconductor with a wide bandgap. In2O3 based nanostructured thin films possess excellent visible transparency, metal-like electrical conductivity, and infrared reflectance properties. In2O3 nanoparticles (NPs) find applications in electro-optic modulators, as window heaters in the electronic field, electrochromic mirrors, and as building blocks in upcoming nanoelectronics.
