Pulsion® Hollow Fiber Modules, Nominal Pore Size 0.03 µm, Outside Fiber Diameter 0.1 inch (2.6 mm), model Pulsion® is manufactured by Koch Membrane Systems. As the next generation of Puron MBR, the aeration energy consumption and footprint of Pulsion MBR module can be reduced by up to 40% and 25%. This innovative technology pulses a large bubble through a chambered fiber bundle to produce a piston-like pumping action. Compared with the traditional flushing method, the air and aeration energy are lower. The improved recirculation of the mixed liquid in the membrane module increases the achievable flux and overall performance. The optimized design and layout reduce the size of the water tank while eliminating the need for air circulation valves. The smallest continuous air flow applied to the membrane reduces the size of the air delivery equipment by 50% and also reduces operating costs. The membrane type and material of the product are braided hollow fiber for outside-in operation and proprietary PVDF respectively, it is suitable for municipal wastewater and industrial wastewater treatment.
