The Recombinant Human CXCL1 Protein manufactured by Seafrom is suitable for studying chemotaxis and inflammation in various processes. Chemokine (C-X-C motif) Ligand 1 Protein (CXCL1) is a growth factor for melanoma cells and a chemotaxin for neutrophils. It belongs to the CXC chemokine family and is a potent neutrophil attractant and activator, with activity also observed towards basophils. CXCL1 is expressed by macrophages, neutrophils, and epithelial cells, and it has neutrophil chemoattractant activity. CXCL1 plays a crucial, nonredundant role in the development of experimental Lyme arthritis and carditis by recruiting neutrophils into the site of infection via the CXCR2 receptor. It may also have significant pro-nociceptive effects through direct actions on sensory neurons and could induce long-term changes that involve protein synthesis. The lyophilized formulation can be stored at 4°C for 24 months. Once reconstituted, the liquid can be stored at -20°C for 6-12 months, while avoiding repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
