Description

The Recombinant Human Vitronectin Protein manufactured by Seafrom is suitable for promoting cell adhesion and supporting cell survival.
Recombinant human Vitronectin protein effectively binds to the extracellular matrix and is primarily used for coating cell culture plates to promote cell adhesion. In the matrix, Vitronectin can support cell adhesion by binding to various integrins and other glycoproteins. Additionally, Vitronectin acts as a chemically defined matrix component in human embryonic stem cell culture media.
The lyophilized product can be stored at 2-8°C for 24 months. For reconstitution, sterile water can be used. After reconstitution, the concentration should be no less than 100 μg/mL. The reconstituted solution should be divided into small aliquots and stored at -20°C for 3 months or -80°C for 12 months, avoiding repeated freeze-thaw cycles. It is important not to vortex the solution vigorously.
Here is a general usage guideline: For each 100 μg of Vitronectin lyophilized powder, use 0.5 mL of sterile water for reconstitution. Mix gently and allow it to stand for 25-30 minutes until completely dissolved. After thorough mixing, aliquot and freeze for future use. Vitronectin is an ideal choice for surface coating. The optimal coating concentration may vary for different cell types and culture conditions, so it should be adjusted according to your specific application. The typical coating concentration range is 5-20 μg/mL. For a 6-well plate, for example, add 1 mL of diluted Vitronectin solution to each well. Incubate the plate at 37°C for 2 hours or overnight at 2-8°C after coating. Once the plate is fully coated, remove the Vitronectin solution and gently rinse with sterile PBS. Then, add the cells for subsequent culture.
