Description

The petri dish containing the colonies is inverted and lowered into contact with the velveteen, then removed. When fresh petri dishes, perhaps supplemented with antibiotics or lacking certain metabolites, are brought into contact with the velveteen, colonies are seeded onto the surface in the same pattern as the source plate.
