The Shandon Varistain 24-4 is an automated rotary slide stainer designed for simplicity and versatility in histology and cytology staining applications. Capable of single load, double load and continuous throughput, the Shandon slide stainer performs with exceptional reliability using laboratory reagents and routines.

The reliable Varistain 24-4 stainer carries three memory banks. This allows the operator to program up to three 24-step routines or six 12-step routines - each locked in the instrument's non-volatile program memory. The varistain system allows matching with stains. This Shandon Varistan stainer also lets you control your staining results and select conditions that respond instantly to changing conditions with the touch of a button.

The Shandon Varistain 24-4 slide stainer is designed with enhanced safety in mind. The stainer maintains a safe distance between the user and potentially harmful stains and reagents, giving the operator uninterrupted time to perform other important tasks. In addition, unit stained slide specimens run continuously over and over again.

The Shandon Varistain 24-4 Workstation holds 750ml tanks and can be filled to 350ml with 10 loads and each basket stains 64 loads in a single run. Additional features of the slide stainer include: rotating turntable, wide cap clamp compatibility, run 2 programs by function, and user-specified water stations to match programs.
