The Tecan GENios Microplate Reader is a cutting-edge multimode microplate reader that combines three important measurement modes - fluorescence, absorption and glow luminescence - in a single, compact instrument. This is a highly versatile microplate instrument that can be used for a wide range of applications, making it ideal for research and development work, as well as testing and QC tasks in many research fields, including genetics, proteomics and biotechnology.

It handles microplate formats from 6-well to 384-well, providing flexibility and convenience for all molecular biology applications. Tecan GENios is the ideal solution for molecular biology laboratories involved in DNA and RNA quantification or checking labeling accuracy. Tecan multifunctional GENios offers maximum flexibility and performance.

For cell-based assays, the Tecan GENios Microplate Reader can detect multiple labels per well and easily switch readouts from top to bottom with a single mouse click. This allows scientists and technicians to select the most appropriate parameters for the quantification of nucleic acids and proteins, as well as for any ELISA or general molecular biology analysis, using predefined protocols in Magellan software.

The filters are arranged in a filter sheet; four excitation filters and four emission filters may be mounted on the filter sheet. Process fluorescence and absorbance for 6, 24, 96 and 384-well plates, luminescence for 96-well plates. Fluorescence spectral range of 340-700nm. 230-1000nm absorption spectrum range. Fluorescence with a sensitivity of 3 pg is on each well, and the emission signal is measured by a high-sensitivity PMT. Different detection techniques of the same instrument change the measurement direction (up/down) through PC software. Heat incubation at +5°C to +42°C

Dual optical channels allow measurements from above or below the plate via a mouse click. Light from sample to sample is focused by lenses, and high-quality excitation and emission filters are readily available from the front end of the instrument. Each slide can hold up to 4 filters, with up to 8 fluorescence filters and up to 5 absorption filters.
