Thermo Nicolet 6700 FTIR with transmission accessory, laptop, software and polystyrene standard. This unit has been fully tested and found to original factory specifications. Comes standard with KBR optics from 7000-400 cm-1 and an MCT detector. MCT detectors are 10 times more sensitive than standard room temperature DTGS detectors. This enhanced sensitivity is used in more demanding applications such as emission from external plasmas, infrared fluorescence, long path length gas cells (e.g., 10m Nicolet gas cells), etc. The system configuration includes a room temperature DTGS and an MCT detector. Switching between the two detectors is easily done in the software, which controls a motorized detector mirror.
