The TPP® Tissue Culture Flasks manfuactured by TPP Techno Plastic Products AG features TPP-treated internal surface to creat an optimal growth bottom surface for most matrix-dependent tissue cultures. The untreated side and top inner surface can reduce non-target tissue adhesion outside the growth area, thereby reducing cell loss during separation. The flask allows pipettes or cell scrapers to insert through the neck of the flask and to easily reach the entire bottom surface. This means there are no "dead spots". The angled neck reduces the risk of accidental leakage of the culture solution and allows "no dripping" pouring. When the vent screw cap is tightened to its fullest, the closed tissue culture flask is liquid-tight and air-tight. Simply rotate the cap a quarter turn and the flask will be in the "venting" position, and the inside of the flask will be ventilated through a limited gap opening. This ensures gas exchange with the environment and minimizes potential pollution risks. In addition, the special flat thread profile of the cap prevents over-tightening, allowing the cap to be used repeatedly. The TPP filter cover has a welded membrane in the cover cavity, allowing no gas exchange without changing the air flow. In order to obtain the best flask breathing, all membranes are specially designed according to the size of cap. The non-cytotoxic microporous hydrophobic membrane is composed of two layers of membrane material, which is based on white acrylic copolymer on a nylon carrier. When the air flow rate is 4.5 (LPM/3.7cm2/13.5psi), the gas exchange performance of the TPP filter cover is equivalent to that of the standard cap.
