The VIS403 is a high temperature viscometer used to measure the dynamic viscosity of materials with Newtonian characteristics (such as glass, slag or mildew powder). The instrument measures the shear stress and shear rate of a rotating hook immersed in a liquid-filled cup at a controlled temperature. Depending on the viscosity of the test fluid, two different Bob and cup configurations can be used. Tests can be conducted under controlled stress or controlled rate conditions, and under isothermal or temperature-rise procedures.
