XT Starter, XT Holder Base and Cooling Core, BioCision (CAT#: STEM-GLE-0083-LKN)

XT Starter, model BCS-504 is manufactured by BioCision. This product is an open platform cooler that holds samples at a uniform 2 °C for more than 4 hours - without ice, batteries or electricity. XT Starter can accommodate most of the CoolRack and CoolSink sample modules, making it a versatile and flexible tool for a variety of applications. Its low profile and small size make it very suitable for use in the hood, especially when keeping temperature sensitive solutions (e.g., cryoprotectants, media, reagents, etc.) at low temperatures. The built-in 1-8 °C temperature indicator ensures the working temperature during operation. To assemble, simply pre freeze the XT core in a cooler at - 20 °C until it freezes. When ready for use, place the XT cooling core on the bench until the temperature indicator records 1 °C (about 10 minutes). Then insert the XT cooling core into the XT holder and place the CoolRack or CoolSink sample module on top.
