The Maxwell® 16 IVD Instrument is manufactured by Promega. The instrument complies with EU Directive 98/79/EC on in vitro diagnostic medical devices and is used in combination with the Maxwell® 16 Blood DNA Purification System and Maxwell® 16 Viral Total Nucleic Acid Purification System to purify gDNA, whole blood and buffy coat or total viral nucleic acid in plasma or serum samples from humans.
