PCS®2 has an auto-loading pump, automatic priming, comprehensive messaging, advanced optical sensors, minimal alarms, and easy-to-read displays. It is complex but easy to use. The system has a variety of safety features, including redundant air detectors, donor line pressure monitors, low anticoagulation ratios, fluid sensors, and closed centrifuges, so it has high reliability. The PCS®2 system also contains multiple protocols and has a built-in wireless communication function. It is small, easy to move and light in weight, so it is very suitable for space-limited centers and mobile collection. The system can also be used with EXPRESS® software 1, which is an intelligent algorithm that helps reduce overall donation time.
