MYC gene encodes a multifunctional, nuclear phosphoprotein that controls a variety of cellular functions, including cell cycle, cell growth, apoptosis, cellular metabolism and biosynthesis, adhesion, and mitochondrial biogenesis. MYC is also commonly activated in tumorigenesis as a consequence of both oncogenic and epigenetic events. Diseases associated with MYC include Burkitt Lymphoma and High-Grade B-Cell Lymphoma Double-Hit/Triple-Hit.
