Gas6 (Growth arrest-specific protein 6) is a vitamin K-dependent protein that was first discovered in mouse embryonic fibroblasts in 1988, and its biological function is mediated by interacting with TAM receptors. Gas6/Axl is highly expressed in a variety of tumor tissues, and the activation of Axl in the Gas6/Axl signal is Axl dimerization and autophosphorylation induced by the ligand Gas6.
