Analysis of HCoV-OC43 Spike (Human) by MSD Hypersensitive Multi-Factor Electrochemiluminescence Analyzer (CAT#: STEM-MB-0246-LGZ)

Introduction

Coronaviruses (CoV) are membranous single-stranded plus strand RNA viruses, crustaceans, coronaviruses, family coronaviruses and genus Coronaviruses, which are the largest known RNA viruses. So far, there are seven coronavirus that can infect human beings, namely HCoV-229E and HCoV-NL63 in α group, HCoV-OC43 and HCoV-HKUl in β group A, Atypical pneumonia virus (SARS-CoV) and 2019 Novel coronavirus (2019-NCoV) in B group, Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (MERS-CoV) in Group C.

Principle

MSD electrochemiluminescence technology is mainly based on ultra-sensitive multi-factor electrochemiluminescence analyzer MES0 Sector600 or Quickplex SQ120. Through dot matrix technology, the detection of 10 indicators per well can be realized in the 96-hole graphite electrode plate. It can also be customized to realize the screening detection of 100 index wells in a 24-well plate.

Applications

COVID-19 Coronavirus

Procedure

1. Coat the capture antibody on the well plate.
2. Add samples/calibrators.
3. Add detection antibody.
4. Read the plate and analyze the data.

Materials

• Sample Type: Serum, Plasma
